Luxury Furniture Antibes: Furniture for Cap, Old Town and Juan-les-Pins

Luxury Furniture Antibes: Möbel für Cap, Altstadt und Juan-les-Pins

Antibes is not one city in terms of furnishing, but three. On the Cap, villas are situated in park-like grounds, behind the ramparts lies a dense old town with apartments above the alleys, and Juan-les-Pins, on the other side of the peninsula, is a holiday resort with a high rental rate. Those furnishing here should first know in which of these three locations the property is situated, as the answer changes almost everything. This page addresses them individually. Casa Luxury delivers to France.

Cap d'Antibes: Homes designed with the water in mind

The plots on the Cap are large, and the houses are usually built low and wide, with wrap-around terraces and views in two directions. Such rooms lose their appeal with many small pieces of furniture and gain with a few large ones. A dining table of true length with matching dining chairs supports the main room, and a chandelier above it must withstand the volume, otherwise it will disappear. Because the light here comes from two sides, a large-format wall mirror works differently than in a city apartment: It does not double the window but connects the two viewing directions.

What a direct waterfront location costs

On the Cap, hardly any house is more than two hundred meters from the sea; many are directly above it. This is the toughest location on this coast in terms of materials. Salt in the air attacks untreated and coated metal significantly faster than inland; it also creeps under covers and into screw connections. For outdoors, this means: only furniture explicitly designated as outdoor ware, i.e., outdoor sofas, outdoor armchairs, and outdoor dining tables with weather-resistant frames and UV-resistant covers. Indoor furniture will not last even under a roof if the air is salty. The material choice is more important here than the design choice, and it cannot be corrected later.

Vieil Antibes: Living behind the ramparts

The old town behind the Vauban fortifications is densely built, the houses are narrow and tall, and the apartments are laid out accordingly. Windows often face an alley, not the harbor. With limited daylight, a single ceiling light provides little, whereas multiple light sources provide much: table lamps and wall lights build the depth that the room otherwise lacks. A sofa with a narrow base and a coffee table on a fine metal frame allow the floor to remain visible, which is more beneficial in a narrow floor plan than any color choice.

At Port Vauban: the Pied-à-terre

The harbor shapes an entire housing market. Around Port Vauban, there are many smaller units used as second homes alongside boats, often only for weeks at a time. A different logic applies to these properties than to a house where someone lives: a few good pieces instead of complete furnishings, robust surfaces, and everything chosen so that it does not need to be aired out after four weeks of vacancy. Console tables and wall mirrors contribute more to the impression here than additional seating furniture.

Juan-les-Pins: when rented out

On the south side of the peninsula, between the pine forest and the beach, a large proportion of apartments are rented out temporarily, with peaks around the festival in July. Where guests change, robustness counts more than delicacy: denser fabrics, insensitive surfaces, and models that can be reordered individually if a piece is damaged. Clarify reorderability before committing to an entire series, otherwise, a single piece may later stand in a group that is no longer available.

Delivery to Antibes

The old town is the difficult part: one-way streets within the walls, bollards, morning market activity around the Marché Provençal, plus old stairwells without elevators. At the Cap, it's the opposite and yet tricky, because the access roads are narrow and many properties have a gate that a semi-trailer cannot pass through. Between June and September, there's also the traffic. We therefore plan the vehicle size and date in advance, where necessary with a smaller vehicle or a delivery outside peak hours. France is in our EU zone, so no import duties apply, and the weight-based tariffs can be found under Shipping Costs and Delivery Times.

Shipping to Antibes

We deliver to Antibes. The price depends on the shipping weight, which for furniture is calculated from dimensions and packaging. Zone: EU. The prices are gross prices.

Shipment Shipping Costs
Parcel up to 31.5 kg 34.90 €
Freight forwarding up to 150 kg 169.90 €
Freight forwarding up to 300 kg 210.00 €
Freight forwarding up to 600 kg 280.00 €

Freight forwarding goods are delivered curbside. This means: to the curb in front of the address, not into the apartment and not into the installation room. If you need delivery to an upper floor, please arrange it locally; this page explains what needs to be considered.

The complete table with all weight categories can be found under Shipping and Delivery, and the timeframes under Delivery Time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which furniture can withstand being directly on the water at Cap d'Antibes?

Outdoors, exclusively models explicitly designated as outdoor goods, with weather-resistant frames and UV-resistant covers. Salt air corrodes metal significantly faster here than inland and also creeps under covers. Indoor furniture does not belong outdoors, even on a covered terrace.

Can a freight forwarder reach the villa on the Cap?

Not always with a semi-trailer. The access roads are narrow and many properties have a gate that limits passage. We clarify access and gate width before the appointment and, if in doubt, use a smaller vehicle.

What is suitable for an apartment in Juan-les-Pins that is rented out?

Dense fabrics, insensitive surfaces, and models that can be individually replaced or supplemented. We check the reorderability before an entire series is decided upon.
