Dubai is a market where interior design is allowed to make the most significant statement. Large floor plans, high ceilings, and abundant natural light accommodate pieces that would be too dominant in European homes. This page illustrates what is important there and how delivery to the Emirates works. Casa Luxury also ships outside Europe.
Large Spaces Accommodate Grand Gestures
In a penthouse with double-height ceilings, a normally sized chandelier would appear lost. Here, downward expansion and several grouped luminaires at different heights are the correct answer. The same applies to seating: a generous sofa with two armchairs facing it, and a rug that encompasses the entire group, rather than many small islands. At the dining table with matching dining chairs, length determines the impression.
Brass, Marble, and Mirrors
The material language embraced in Dubai is classic: solid brass, polished marble, glass, and mirrored surfaces. Consistency is key. If the metal finish changes within a line of sight, even the most expensive room will appear restless. Large format wall mirrors, console tables as wall anchors, and display cabinets with interior lighting are the pieces that convey this impression. Vases and objects come last, once furniture and lighting are in place.
What the Climate Demands
- Permanent Air Conditioning. Dry indoor air works against solid wood. Furniture should not be placed directly next to an air conditioning outlet.
- Sunlight Exposure. Behind large glass surfaces, textiles and dark woods fade more quickly. Sun protection here is not a matter of comfort, but of preserving value.
- Outdoor Areas. For terraces and pool areas, despite the climate, the same rule applies as in the Mediterranean: only genuine outdoor furniture will withstand prolonged outdoor exposure.
Delivery to Dubai
- Shipping Zone. The Emirates are located in our zone outside Europe. The tariffs are staggered by weight and can be found on the Shipping Costs and Delivery Times page. Heavy shipments are significantly more expensive due to freight costs than within Europe.
- Import. Customs duties, import taxes, and local fees are borne by the customer. The shipping documents are included with the shipment.
- Transit Time. For shipments outside Europe, a significantly longer transit time should be expected than within the EU. For larger projects, we will coordinate the process in advance.
- Consolidate Projects. For multiple rooms, it is worthwhile to combine the order into one shipment rather than sending items individually.
Shipping to Dubai
We deliver to Dubai. The price depends on the shipping weight, which for furniture is calculated based on dimensions and packaging. Zone: International. The prices are gross prices.
| Shipment | Shipping Costs |
|---|---|
| Parcel up to 31.5 kg | €199.00 |
| Freight forwarding up to 150 kg | €1,699.00 |
| Freight forwarding up to 300 kg | €1,800.00 |
| Freight forwarding up to 600 kg | €2,299.00 |
Freight forwarding goods are delivered curbside. This means: to the curb in front of the address, not into the apartment or the installation room. If you require delivery to an upper floor, please arrange it locally; this page explains what needs to be considered.
Import: For shipments outside Europe, customs duties and import taxes, which are borne by the recipient, will be added.
The complete table with all weight categories can be found under Shipping and Delivery, and the timeframes under Delivery Time.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Casa Luxury deliver furniture to Dubai?
Yes. The Emirates are within our shipping zone outside Europe. Costs depend on the weight of the shipment; for larger projects, we will coordinate the process in advance.
Who pays customs duties and import fees?
The customer. For shipments outside the EU, duties are incurred in the destination country, and the shipping documents are included with the shipment.
How large should a lamp be in a room with a high ceiling?
Larger than in a normal living space. In a double-height room, a lamp that is too small will appear lost, so it is advisable to choose one size larger or group several lamps at different heights.
