How Many Seats Truly Fit
For each person, allow 60 centimeters in width and 40 centimeters in depth. A table of 200 centimeters, therefore, accommodates three people along each long side, not four. With armrests on the chairs, this increases to 65 to 70 centimeters. A bench on one side creates space because it does not have fixed distances, but it requires everyone to stand up simultaneously.
