Luxury Furniture for Luxembourg: City Location, New Building, Delivery

Luxury furniture for Luxembourg: city location, new build, delivery

Luxembourg is small, has high purchasing power, and is logistically ideal: it's only a few hours from our warehouse. For furnishing, the market is neatly divided into two halves that have little in common.

Two Living Worlds

In the Old Town and the valley areas, there are historic houses: thick walls, small windows, narrow staircases, rooms that are taller than they are wide. The same rules apply there as in Brussels, meaning zones are arranged across rather than lengthwise, and a few large pieces are preferred over many small ones. In Kirchberg and the new districts, there are new buildings with open floor plans, lots of glass, and freight elevators. There, the task is to structure, not to fit things in, as seen in Rotterdam.

One Market, Three Languages

Luxembourgish, French, and German coexist, along with English in the international environment of institutions and banks. For consultation, this simply means that we respond in the language in which the inquiry is made. For furnishing, it means that tastes mix: French classicism meets German functionalism and international new-build standards.

Short Distances

Delivery to Luxembourg is uncomplicated: EU internal market, no customs clearance, short distance. This makes even bulky items and subsequent deliveries of individual pieces practical, which is more difficult in more distant markets. For apartments in the upper city, the usual check of door width, staircase, and elevator remains.

Material and Light

The light is Central European, meaning grey in winter. As in Brussels, warm materials work better than cool ones: leather, brushed wood, brass, plus wall art on large wall surfaces. In bright new buildings, cooler combinations also work because there is enough daylight.

Shipping to Luxembourg

We deliver to Luxembourg. The price depends on the shipping weight, which for furniture is calculated based on dimensions and packaging. Zone: EU. The prices are gross prices.

Shipment Shipping Costs
Parcel up to 31.5 kg 34.90 €
Freight forwarding up to 150 kg 169.90 €
Freight forwarding up to 300 kg 210.00 €
Freight forwarding up to 600 kg 280.00 €

Freight forwarding goods are delivered curbside. This means: to the curb in front of the address, not into the apartment and not into the room of installation. If you need delivery to an upper floor, please arrange it locally; this page explains what to consider.

The complete table with all weight classes can be found under Shipping and Delivery, and the delivery times under Delivery Time.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do the Old Town and Kirchberg differ?

The Old Town has historic houses with narrow staircases and tall, narrow rooms. Kirchberg features new builds with open floor plans and freight elevators. This requires two different furniture logics.

Are customs duties incurred for delivery to Luxembourg?

No. Luxembourg is part of the EU internal market, so there are no customs duties. The distance is short, making even subsequent deliveries of individual items easily manageable.

In which language is consultation provided?

In the language of the inquiry. German, French, and English are equally common in the Luxembourg market.
